Glen Valley Organic Farm is a beautiful 50 acre parcel of land in the Fraser Valley halfway between Vancouver and Hope along the mighty Fraser River. The farm’s soil is some of the richest and most productive land available. The land is owned by the Co-operative and then leased to shareholders who run small agricultural projects/businesses with it.
At the moment, we have two businesses being run off of the farm – Close to Home Organics and Earth Apple Organic Farm are the organic produce businesses that operate a Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) program.
Helping us with our pollination needs on the farm, we have a group of shareholders called the Delphic Hive acting as farm apiarists.
Close to Home Organics
Close to Home Organics is a family-run farm business, specializing in organic produce for local markets. Our goal to bring the highest quality produce, grown using truly sustainable practices, to local customers in the Lower Mainland. We think the best, most nourishing food is fresh and grown close to home. Chris Bodnar and Paige Dampier started Close to Home Organics in the fall of 2011, building off of five years of farming experience at Glen Valley Organic Farm.
Close to Home Organics grows an array of seasonal produce, supplying farmers markets and a Community Supported Agriculture program. They are also developing a line of edible native plant products.

Earth Apple Organic Farm
Earth Apple Organic Farm was established in 2011 and moved to Glen Valley Organic Farm Co-op in Abbotsford, BC in January 2016. Our roots quite literally are earth apples or les pommes de terre, but we’ve since expanded, growing over 50 different varieties of fruits and vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers on over 6 acres of land.
Our mission is to produce fresh, organic, nutritious food for local communities in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley with low ecological impact and fair wage standards. We love what we do, which is evident in the beautiful organic produce we offer through our CSA program and in Fine Dining Restaurants in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

The Delphic Hive
In 2010, Tricia Carpenter and her granddaughter Mina introduced bees to the farm in 2010. In 2017 a group of hobbyists and shareholders of the co-operative called the Delphic Hive took over the duties as farm Apiarists.
The Delphic Hive is excited about raising bees on an organic farm. Their goal is to support the farmers in pollinating their crops, while raising bees naturally, and at the end of the year having delicious honey to sell to friends and shareholders.
